What we’re all missing right now?

In-the-flesh, side-by-side, honest-to-goodness human connection.

I can help you (re)connect.

But let’s not go back to the old ‘normal.’ Let’s create a new one together. One where everyone has a story that matters. Where we dream big. And dream together. And it might be a little harder, but we can STILL do this from a safe-distance.

I’m Meagan Schultz, retreat, workshop and e-course creator, with a master’s in Counseling and a love of bringing people together. I’m also a published author, a radio contributor and a trained school counselor. Before moving to Milwaukee, I spent my twenties in London running study abroad programs and leading an international team of educators and internship providers. And my first ever job? One of Santa’s helpers in the mall. Yep, I was an elf.

Let me help you organize a custom workshop or retreat experience so that your group walks away feeling inspired, connected and empowered. I can facilitate this for you, or guide you through what it takes to make your group’s experience a success.

What kinds of groups do you work with?
Are you a good fit for my group?

That depends.

✔️ Are you looking for a retreat or a workshop that builds relationships in fun and creative ways? I can work with that.

✔️ Are you wanting to put together a day of reflection, dreaming, and discovering where your group feels safe sharing their ambitions and desires? I can work with that.

✔️ Are you hoping to find a group of like-minded people who share a passion for purpose and want to feel valued and appreciated? I can work with that.

Whether you work with school groups, youth groups, teens, adults, senior communities, refugees, writing groups, church groups, women’s groups … I can work with you.

✔️ Or maybe you just want to organize a group of your besties who you rarely see anymore because everyone is so darn busy, and you’re hoping for a curated experience where you can talk about your deepest desires and how to bring them to life. I can work with you.

✔️ Or perhaps you are getting married and don’t want your run-of-the-mill bachelorette party where all the girls stay up way too late drinking way too much. What if instead, you could have a heart-filled night of sharing dreams and stories with the women you love? I can work with you.

And yes, we can do this on Zoom.

Meagan’s plans for the day were so very thoughtful, I was amazed that how quickly I felt comfortable with the space, the events of the day and the other women. Much of the reflection was done privately, in writing, so there was something tangible that I could take with me. And it encouraged me to write more, to reflect more, and to allow myself that space and time to just breathe. I highly recommend attending Meagan’s retreats! They are 100% worth the time.”

Is there anyone you don’t work with?

I’ll be honest here. If you are a corporate team wanting a day to talk shop and systems and plans and budgets, I’m probably not your gal. I can do that, but it’s not what lights me up. Now if you want to talk shop but can’t because your team isn’t gelling and you need a day away from the office telling stories, playing intentional games and building camaraderie, I can work with that.

What does working with you look like?

First things first, I want to hear about your group. We’ll have a (free!) 30-minute phone consultation where we’ll go over questions like what is the story of your group, why are you gathering, what do you need, what is the overarching goal of your gathering and how do you think I can help?

Once I understand what you need and the parameters of your event, I’ll plan an inspiring and thoughtful experience for your group, down to the smallest detail (like times for bathroom breaks!). I’ll come back with an agenda that will keep your group flowing for the duration of your/our time together.

We’ll review this and make any revisions or adjustments. Then we’ll decide on specifics and I’ll help you work through logistics. Together, we’ll answer questions like who will run this, where will it take place, when will it happen, will we need food or other materials?

Should you hire me to run the retreat, I’ll make sure it’s a phenomenal day for your group, creating a safe space where everyone feels welcomed and appreciated.

After the retreat, we’ll debrief together, I’ll survey your group and come back to you with a detailed response that includes suggestions on how to move forward and where you can continue the work we started together to keep the momentum building.

What do your retreats include? Do you follow a template?

My retreats are customized for YOU and your group. However, there are elements I always include because I feel strongly that they build connections and deepen relationships. These include:

  • Icebreakers and get-to-know you-games (and I promise, no one will be rolling their eyes)

  • Writing/Journaling time, a powerful and reflective tool

  • A creative project - something to get our right brains working, and something to take home as a reminder of our time together

  • An activity/focus on gratitude, often part of the creative project

  • A meal, if time allows - you know what they say about breaking bread together

  • Large group and small group time

  • Laughter and play - because we can’t take ourselves too seriously all the time, right?

“What a rich experience! I’m so grateful for the chance to be still, reflect, look inward, and be amongst the inspiring women like yourself. Thank you for inviting me!”

Thank you so much for hosting a day that filled my soul. I had such a great time with beautiful, intelligent women who have dreams. Thanks for the laughing, crying and an environment to be open.
