Hands up if you’re ready for this (virtual) school year to begin!
Ready to dive back into the sea of online lessons? Remote schooling? Google Classrooms? Zoom calls? Mute buttons? Endless snacks? Sisyphean dish piles?
Yeah, I think we’re all in that boat.
I’m here to throw you a lifeline. It doesn’t have to feel like a sinking ship this time around.
With the right frame of mind and some thoughtful preparation, we can make sure it’s smooth sailing this year.
Alright, alright enough with the boat talk.
I’m Meagan (rhymes with vegan) and for the last four years, I’ve been building e-courses that bring people together to reflect, appreciate, and build on those things that connect us to each other and move us forward with intention. Who would have though this work would prepare me for a global pandemic - for this time when we need connection more than ever?
←Also, just keeping it real in here friends, in case there was any doubt that I am ANY more enlightened than anyone else about doing virtual schooling right now. As you can see for yourself, it’s a definitive NO.
I’m OVER the gurus who think they have all the answers. If we learned anything from the Spring of 2020, it’s that Covid-Schooling is a team sport. Which is why I think it’s KEY that we gather together in whatever way we can to connect and create communities with intention. And right now, that means ONLINE.
Ooohhhh, tell me more! What else is included?
Community.
A lovely community of moms who are IN THIS TOGETHER. Who understand we are all approaching this virtual schooling with some trepidation but who are determined to make it a positive experience for our entire family (and, yep, that includes MOM too!)
Reflection.
A chance to pause and reflect on what is most important, what you want to take away from the experience with your child(ren), and what you can let go of in order to live these principles.
Intention.
An invitation to think about (and create) your family’s routines and schedules with intention, asking yourself how you can best organize your life (and your home) around these values.
Action.
Daily activities that will challenge you to bring grace, gratitude and joy into the days ahead.
Sweet, right?
Here’s how it works.
Each day, you’ll wake to an email in your inbox with a link back to our safe and supportive online community. You are free to jump in whenever it works for you, this is not a live course. Click on that day’s link and you’ll be taken to a short reading, prompt, challenge or activity. It won’t take more than 5-10 minutes to read this. And then YOU can decide how much time to give the day’s task.
The great part about this is that we’ve got a fabulous community of MOMS doing this together. So even though you might be taking time to do the work privately, at your own pace and in your own space, everyone will be invited to come together to share thoughts, feelings and - what’s more - inspiration with us all. I guarantee you’ll find new ideas you’ll want to try out in your own home.
I host this experience inside a platform that is gentle on the eyes and free of distraction (read: NOT Facebook). And once you sign in, you’re in, and it’s mobile-friendly, too! We’ll stay away from the mindless doom scrolling and newsfeeds that might pull us away from the important work. But don’t worry, there will be a place to leave comments, share photos, links, or anything else that might be helpful. It’s super simple and easy to navigate once you’re enrolled.
That sounds great, but do I even have time for this? Seriously, what will I get out of this?
Great question! So here’s a few more specifics you’ll take away from this community.
A coveted spot in a supported, judgement-free community of awesome moms.
A super cool (and relaxing) guided meditation on day one and a LIVE bonus meditation on September 1 (the first day of school for many) for all who can join
A daily reminder you can hang in your house to keep you on your A-game, even on those C-/D+ days.
A totally killer, meticulously organized, color-coded, feng-shuied, peaceful workspace for your kids (alright, alright, can’t guarantee this one, but hopefully you’ll be a little closer to this by the end of the week!)
Some creative and helpful ideas that inspire and encourage your own routines and schedules
A super duper handy tracking system for all the technology coming at you this fall
Let me clarify: here’s what this won’t be:
A one-size fits all approach for your family. Remember those hour-by-hour, color-coded daily schedules that were all the rage back in March? Uhhh, yeah. Need I even say more?
A resource dump with dozens of websites guaranteed to land your child a spot in the Ivy Leagues if only you follow their proven methods. If you’re anything like me, you’re overloaded with teaching advice and don’t need a damn thing more to read.
A PTSD-inducing place for re-living the stress and frustration that was Spring of 2020, or a place for commiserating about how terrible this situation is. (Umm, hello, we’ve got Facebook for that)
Therapy. Nope. I’m a trained counselor, but this is not where we’ll unpack all the baggage this pandemic has saddled us with. Unless by ‘therapy’ you’re looking for support, suggestion and inspiration.
Let me be real for a minute.
I ALWAYS create the courses that *I* need, too!
And I created this course so that we all walk away from this week together feeling lighter and more ready to take on this virtual school year.
We’re never going to be entirely ready. I mean, come on, we’re still in the middle of a global pandemic that isn’t looking like it’s going away anytime soon.
But I want this year ahead to be ease-y for us. I want us to find the joy with our kids. I want us to embrace the silver linings and make the best of a tough situation. Maybe even (*gasp*) have a little fun with it!
Let’s do this together!
FAQs
Is this for all parents?
Nope, just the moms this time.
If my kids are going back to school in person, can I still join?
All moms are welcome, but it’s geared towards those of us who are navigating the virtual landscape where we’ll be playing teacher (or teacher-helper) for much of the day. But I’ll never turn away a fellow mom in need of some inspiration and support!
What if I’m a working mom?
Do you want to stay calm and set up an intentional home space while you work? JOIN us!
I already have my mom friends on Facebook, do I need this?
Good question. If you’re feeling solid about the start of the school year, then maybe not. But if you’re feeling at all nervous about moving forward with this school year, or like you could use some help getting your place set up (and by place I mean your home AND your heart), and you’d like to feel supported and uplifted by some phenomenal women (because those are the people I’ll be inviting), then we’d love to have you.
My kids have already started school, can I still join?
Absolutely! It’s never too late to get yourself in the right frame of mind!
Are you kidding me, school starts in a week and you think I’ve got time for this?!?
I promise it won’t take more than 5-10 minutes to read the daily lesson. And then you can spend as much or as little time in our community as you’d like. Most days will have a challenge - but you can do them at your own pace (or not at all) - though honestly, the way I’ve set it up, spending a few minutes THIS week on some of these challenges will mean SO much less time next week when school is in session. That I can guarantee! And I’m pretty sure you’ll want to return to our space to see some of the fabulous ideas the other ladies will be sharing. But you can do this from your bed at the end of the day!
I’m on vacation this week, can I still join?
As long as you’ve got access to internet and the willingness to participate, it shouldn’t be a problem! But if you’re floating on a lake somewhere, cocktail in hand, can I just say, NOPE, you should probably stay present and ENJOY THE HECK OUT OF IT! (see the work-at-your-own-pace option below, that one may be better for you).
I’d love to do this with my friends, can you create a private class, just for us?
Sure, I’m open to setting up something like that and can set the dates for you and your gals. Just drop me an email.
ARE YOU READY TO ROCK THIS SCHOOL YEAR?
Two ways to GET READY for a joyful return!
Now only $25
(still open!)
Just tell me what to do, I don’t need the community. And I need to start NOW.
Maybe you aren’t interested in the community or the support from other moms. Maybe you just need structure around HOW to think about the return to school and you just want to walk through the steps to organize your home and your heart with intention. You’ll get the entire course to work through on your own (all at once) when you sign up! The only thing you miss out on is loving on and being loved on by the other moms.
$59
(closed)
I need ALL the support and I want to do this with other moms in the same boat from Tuesday, August 25 - Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
At this price point, you’ll get the whole shebang. We’ll start and finish together in community, loving on each other and inspiring each other, so be sure to put the dates in your calendar and get ready for some serious (but not too serious) work with the rest of the ladies!
