It seems like we’re constantly trying to be better human beings. Well, most of us anyway. We set resolutions, goals and intentions every New Year, but somehow, less than half of us can keep them. Why is that?

As I sat on December 31st, writing my annual list of things I want to do better/differently in 2017, I realized that the answer was right in front of me. My list was WAY too vague. I wanted to “be kind,” to “give more,” to “get involved.” All good intentions, yes, but practically impossible to measure. And follow through? Forget about it!

So then I asked myself:

What if I could let go of the grand intentions and start with small steps instead? And what if those small steps could lead to big change?

How cool would that be?

And that got me thinking: What if I could practice these small steps with a group of people who might also be working hard to be kinder, more grateful, more loving people? What if we could hold each other accountable, share our successes and inspire each other?

And voila, Small Steps, Real Change was born.


If you are interested in cultivating a little more goodness in your life, please join me!

Together we will explore specific and creative ways to switch up our daily routines that are guaranteed to inspire. We’ll look at tiny (and I mean tiny) things we can do for ourselves and for those around us that will have REAL and lasting effects.

Each Monday through Friday for two weeks, I'll ask you to reflect on your own daily path and challenge you to look for small ways to shift a particular perspective, or adjust a daily habit, or introduce a new (tiny) practice. It will be simple, to be sure, but that doesn't mean it will be easy. But I hope it will be worth it.

Here's what it will look like: 

1. Each weekday you'll get an email inviting you to a new lesson, action and discussion prompt for the day.

2. Your job will be to find time to at least attempt the lesson/activity at some point in your busy day.

3. Once you've tried it, come back to our online community and share your experience. The last activity of each day will ask "How did it go?" This is where you can tell us what you did, how it felt, whether you liked the way it made you feel. As with most things, the outcome isn't as important as the process.

And I promise, it won’t take more than 5-10 minutes a day. Rocking your intentions for 2017 doesn’t get much easier than this!
